I’m an optimist, to a fault…but I’ve grown cynical (exasperated sigh)! That’s why I created this blog!
I’m the baby of the family, “gotta love me”! And the first to go to college. I grew up in Decatur, IL and then moved to Chicago without a job! Take risks! I stumbled into a free MBA at University of Illinois working for Dr. Fady Charbel in the Department of Neurosurgery (and his head nurse “Kate Walsh”). In 2005, I bought a pick up truck and followed the Oregon trail out west with my best friend and love of my life, Eric – once again, without a job. I said, take risks!
I’m a professional fundraiser passionate about higher education and the pursuit of knowledge. I love writing, reading, trying new things, and the great outdoors. Nature is God’s church! I’m stubborn, yet I try to see the best in everyone (does that make sense?). I’m “wired to work” and love helping other people make a difference with their money. I’m curious and enjoy urban environments. AND love long, long, and I mean very long walks!
